the purist faction Formerly known as the Death Eaters, Voldemort's supporters have climbed the ranks of the wizarding government. With one of them in the position of Minister of Magic, they've been able to completely overtake the wizarding world. They believe that the wizarding society should be cleansed of anyone who is not "pure blood" (eight or more generations without muggles) or "full blood" (three to seven generations without muggles). They're currently in charge of the Ministry, Diagon Alley, and most news publications. lead by blaise zabini
the moderate faction The moderates are for blood superiority, but they don't believe in 'cleansing' the society- merely that pure bloods and full bloods should have political advantages over mudbloods. They're currently at peace with the Purist Faction and intend to remain that way, although there are a few fundamental differences in their politics that's driving a rift between them. lead by padma patil
the old radical faction Previously known as the Order of the Phoenix, the Old Radical faction has toned down since the last war. They strongly oppose the reign of the Purists and Moderates, although their current plan of action is to lay low. They currently control Hogsmede, Hogwarts, and the Daily Prophet, and are based in the Castle. lead by harry potter
the revolutionists or the new radicals A branch of the Old Radicals, they share many of their elders' political views. Comprised mainly of young, rash individuals, they're planning their advance on the Ministry at this very moment and aren't afraid to take action. They are based in a small warehouse in Hogsmede. lead by victoire weasley
the resistance society Much like the Revolutionists, the Resistance Society is a branch of the Purist group. While the Purists believe the Revolution is not a major threat and will die out, the younger generation has decided to take matters into their own hands, with their own methods (which are mostly violent). lead by the malfoy children
the coalition The coalition formed shortly after the second war to mend the rift between the Order and the Death Eaters. It was originally founded by Hannah Abbott and Susan Bones. They've recently reformed in attempts to stop the impending war, but again find themselves rather useless for doing anything but educating young wizards in Hogwarts' leave and advocating goblin rights. lead by ___ boot (f/27)
