" She inquired, taking great pleasure in the double takes some people were doing. Nobody had stopped to talk to her quite yet, but she could practically hear the gossip stirring on the winds. [/ul]

, he explained as a sort of greeting as he placed his luggage bags on the floor and them rummaged through the grocery and then pulled out two – rather large – bars of chocolate and handed them to his siblings. He knew that Sammy’s book was enough – in fact, more than enough; to support the Henley siblings, but just in case; he felt that he should get a small job seeing as it looked like Quidditch season wasn’t going to start for a long time, giventhe circumstances; and hearing of the condition here in England, got rather put off politics. " Josie breathed, agreeing with her sister. Hogsmeade was quite different, and not in a good way. It was still nice to be back, though- even painted with war and desperation, it was still Hosmeade. Still home. She came to a halt in front of a small townhouse, number 47 Witchhazel Lane. Their new home. She smiled at the quaintness of it before turning back to Sammy. " I don't know. Maybe one of his old secret admirers works at the bank and, like, abducted him." She said, only half joking. She found it hilarious that her grumpy older brother had been so popular in England, but he didn't so much. A smirk graced her features as he approached, carrying some groceries. " The caramel bars are good too," Josie said, accepting the candy from her brother, " It's been so long that any Honeydukes' chocolate sounds like heaven just about now." In her mind, there were no sweets in the world that compared with Honeydukes'. It had been the staple of her diet during her years at Hogwarts, and in retrospect, she figured it was some small miracle she hadn't gotten fat. There were definitely people staring now, she noticed. Before, when they had been walking in silence, there was nothing that betrayed them as foreigners. But now that they were chatting (and all the Henleys had been known to be rather loud in their years at Hogwarts), people were stopping to consider them. She smiled at an old friend of hers who quickly looked away and hurried off. Perplexed but not hurt, Josie turned back to her siblings. It wasn't like they weren't used to the attention- they were something of superstars back in the Wizarding community of LA, what with Kyle on the Quidditch team and Sammy's book. Josie had even carved a niche for herself instead of becoming lost in her siblings' shadows. She had been quite well known for her work as an animal rights activist, in particular for the charity she had started to stop the sale of magically silenced fwoopers in pet stores (" Seriously," She'd said in the column she wrote for The Los Angeles Phoenix, " If you don't want to go crazy, don't buy one."). Her frank sense of humor and good ethical appeal had earned her a small fan base of her own. Just before they had left, it had almost gotten to the point where they couldn't all go out in public together.[/ul]

, responded Kyle in a friendly reasoning tone with a slight hint of sarcasm coming across, “But it’s an interesting job, and I’ll feel good about it – plus a little extra cash wouldn’t do us any harm”, he added with a small smile. In truth, he really just wanted to lift some weight off Sammy’s shoulders so she would not feel pressured to rush writing her next novel. Kyle most certainly did not want what happened two years ago to happen again anytime soon – when his poor twin sister stayed up hours on end trying to finish her fourteenth chapter by the next week. No – he wouldn’t have it. Kyle swore to himself that if the publisher ever pressured her liek that again, he would hex him skinless. As Sammy spoke again, Kyle gave his twin a sympathetic nod – true, all three of the Henley siblings were well known in California, but here – hardly anybody here in England knew that Kyle played for the Orange Country Quidditch team, heck: they didn’t even know who they were. This was someone a relief for Kyle – but on his sister’s part, she had a fair point as she was now almost as famous in England as she was in America, and hardly anyone would give Sammy a break. It was times like this that Kyle almost wished that he novel did not sell well in England. Finally pulling out the key from his pocket, Kyle took one brief look at the luggage bags that were now levitating next to them, hoping that those would be the last luggage bags that they would ever have to carry around like that – hoping that, this was indeed, somewhere that they could call home. After opening the door, Kyle handed Josie a large box-shaped object wrapped loosely with brown paper that he was cradling in his left arm along with his groceries, “Take this and open it in your room”, Kyle said to his sister. The box was an old dollhouse which he stumbled across in an small second hand shop near their new home, it caught his eye on the window display as Josie had been complaining about how her hamster, Goliath, doesn’t get a room in the house (even though she was joking – of course, Kyle could sense that she did want something special for her pet). “Welcome to your new home” ,Kyle pronounced excitedly to his twin as he held the door for her (and the floating luggage). [/ul]

"Yes, heaven forbid we ever have to downgrade to bronze toilet seats," Josie said, giving her sister an amused sidelong glance. She was constantly amused by the money the three of them were earning. She'd lead a fairly simple life growing up in California, content with her thoroughly upper middle class background and Long Beach abode. That was all before magic, though, back when she aspired to open a cafe on the beach. That seemed so simple minded compared to her aspirations and accomplishments now.
She took the package from him with a bemused expression her face. She couldn't possibly imagine what she could need that was this large, box-shaped and heavy. Praying to god it wasn't the boxed set of Hogwarts, A History or anything like that she nodded as best she could and set it down for a moment while she admired their new living quarters. The house was rectangular, only about eighteen feet in width but elongated. The first floor was a living room and kitchen, with dark stained wooden floors and peeling yellow wall paper. There were two bedrooms on the second floor which was just as large as the first and nothing but a small square bedroom on the third, which Josie claimed for herself. After poking nosily through every nook and cranny of the house and feigning horror at having to share a bathroom with her brother, she returned to the ground floor with a silly grin plastered on her face.
Sitting on the staircase to her bedroom, she observed her siblings as they went about their own house inspections, having temporarily forgotten about the gift Kyle had given her. She was silent for about three minutes, and when she couldn't bear it any longer, she spoke up.
"I love it," She enthused, running a finger along the peeling varnish of the banister. The entire house was in a state of slight disrepair, but she thought it added character. "My room has a gorgeous view of the village." She added in a smug tone, feeling she had gotten the best of the three bedrooms. It was the smallest and the most claustrophobic, with its slanting roof and smallish closet, but she was quite pleased with its overall set up and already knew just how she'd set all her things up so they'd fit.
