The Lost World RPG
General Plot
There's a legend that tells about a lost world on planet Earth. There has been huge number of scientists and other humans searching for this place. However, they never found it. At 2010, a little group of people constituted by a paleontologist, a photographer, two militaries, a biologist, a nurse and two scientists started exploring the earth, trying to find that lost world, their ancestors never discovered.
There's something they have, others never did - a map. Initially they thought it was false, but then, they found a passage. At the one moment they passed through the entrance, their known world disappeared, and it seemed they were back on time. They found a beautiful forest, so frondose and incredible, like they never saw on their planet. However, it wasn't only beauty and peace they found. Between those enourmous trees and plants, were living huge animals, animals they thought were extinct for billions and millions of years. And the most incredible about it, all species that were extinct were living together. Dinosaurs and Ice Age animals were living in harmony.
The group decided to go deeper on the forest. But the deeper they went, more dangerous creatures appeared and attacked them. And even the water, and the sky weren't safe. Three members died during the search - one scientist, the photographer and one military. Now, the women along with two men had to go on alone - try to survive. It was impossible to leave that place. The entrance they found disappeared, but on the other side, on their world, it remained open, expecting new humans, brave ones.
Ten years later, everything was the same, except for the fact the little group dispersed and they were living within tribes of humans. Those humans were constantly attacked by both sides, animals and other humans, called the unknown. No-one ever discovered who they were, and some said they were Gods. The situation was difficult and unstable. The tribes were too much weak, and the unknown had better resources.
Sarah, the paleontologist, became the Ancient of one of the tribes, the earth tribe. There were also the air and water tribes, each of them living on different places. The air tribe lived on the majestic mountains. The earth tribe on the trees of the forest and the water tribe was living close to the water, although some said they had cities under it.
She faced the unknown several times, and she knew they were humans, living on the desert. After all those attacks, they usually left objects, all of them really advanced. Sarah believed they were modern humans, just like her, who found that lost world and formed a group and flourished. But now, centuries after their arrival, their attacks were more often and were interfering with the other humans lives. The unknown were stealing their territory and their children. For what? No-one knew.
