GOALS & DREAMS:
When Kyle was younger; he always dreamed that he would someday own an island and make it into the most muggle-wizard friendly place in the world; a balance between technology and spells: calling it a “Kyland”. Although it was one of those ludricrous childhood dreams that children normally had; his father loved to tell him tales about “Kyland” and it’s residents before he went to sleep. At the present, however - although Kyle is normally very decisive and does not hesitate when choosing between situations; he is rather unsure of what he wants to be when he graduates from Hogwarts; although he has given a lot of though about his future career he still has not come up with a definitive conclusion as to what field of work he would like to part of. Sammy keeps telling him however, that he will probably get some boring job at the ministry – although he keeps laughing off that statement; he can’t help but think at the back of his mind that it will be where he will end up being when he is older. Not that it is a bad thing in his mind, really.
FEARS: Failure, loosing his sisters, people hearing him when he goes to the toilet, his own temper
STRENGTHS: Organisation, willingness to learn, responsibl
WEAKNESSES: Temper problems, tends to bore people with his facts about the goblin revolution in the 1800’s, a little too protective of his family
PERSONALITY: Kyle Henley is the guy that you are not going to like right away, if able to put up with him you would find out that he is not a bad kid, actually; but there’s the whole putting up with him part associated with him – and goodness knows it’s not easy.
Being abnormally organised is central to Kyle’s life; he believes if he wasn’t he would not have got on the Quidditch team, been able to complete his homework, or hold down his twin sister and tell her to get off her butt and clean her trunk out every month. Also following that is that Kyle is probably one of the fussiest guys you will ever have the displeasure of meeting. Having said that, clothing is something he does not fuss about too much, he’ll go out in his school robes if he needs to.
Stay on his good side however, as he has the raging temper of a bull that seen the world in flat out red. He will get mad easily, and when he does; it’s not pretty. Being an accomplished beater for the Ravenclaw team makes him a rather strong chap; so he will not hesitate to break objects around him to get his point across. However, Kyle tries his hardest only to break objects and not people’s necks, as he is responsible enough to realise how much trouble he would get in for doing that. And besides, he almost always regrets the whole thing afterwards.
Finally, his weak spot is his sisters. Being one of the eldest (along with Sammy) kids in his family and being the only boy puts a lot of pressure on Kyle as he feels he needs to protect them. After knowing him for many, many years, his sisters know where to pull his strings so they can get exactly what they want from him. And in all honesty, they are probably the only people who he would truthfully take an Avada Kedarvra curse for.
Politically; Kyle has very strong views and is not one to hide them from his peers. Seeing as he is muggleborn he obviously is against the purism idea that seems to have grown on pupils at school; seeing as he is exceptional strong in the area of History of Magic; he knows more about the backgrounds of wizards than most purebloods – he would probably be a good debater; if only his white hot rage did not cloud his judgement all of the time.
However; his wandwork is not as great as most people – in fact; in subjects such as Defense Against the Dark Arts, it was rumoured that after failing at four attempts to get rid of a boggart he threw away his wand and tried to punch the boggart, which had in fact taken the form of the corpse of his twin sister, and since she was in the same class as him; it was a pretty odd situation to be in.
With all of that down; it seems that there are probably only two reasons that Kyle gets up in the morning; for his sisters, obviously. But also; it is his immense thirst for knowledge that seems to spur him onwards through the day; heck, it spurs him through life, even. Kyle is the type of person who will always ask questions, and finds even the most boring topic about muggle escalators very open to many new ideas.

PARENTS: Thomas Henley and Jasmine Shepard
SIBLINGS:
Samantha Henley » Fifth year
Josephine Henley » Third year
OTHER FAMILY:
Their family history is rather unclear, but Kyle’s mother did say something about some great aunt in South Africa..
HOMETOWN:
Gatwick, London
HISTORY:
Although their mother never told Kyle and Sammy who actually came out first; she did tell them that there was a horrible space of one hour between each of them were born (in which she said she was in more pain than ever before). Therefore, in the twins eyes; there was a significant difference in their age; and during their youth, the two would frequently bicker about who was ‘actually older’. Though as they grew older, they grew to not care as much anymore, in fact; at the present, they do not care at all – probably because even if they were told who was the oldest, it really would not change their attitude towards each other.
Sammy and Kyle’s names were decided for them long before they were born; although Thomas and Jasmine were not expecting twins they agreed that if the baby was a boy, Thomas would name him, and if the baby was a girl, Jasmine would name her. Even though Jasmine was in a lot of pain conceiving her unexpected second child; it seemed that luck was on their side; as each of the two parents had a name in mind.
Only a short year later Jasmine had her third child; Marlene, whom she named after some distant relative of hers. And again, another very short year later she had her youngest, Josephine – however, only a few short months later Thomas and Josephine divorced; ach taking two of their children with them, Jasmine taking the two oldest, and Thomas taking the two youngest children.
At the time of the divorce; Kyle was only three years old, and could hardly comprehend what was going on. Though he always had remembered hearing shouting from their bedroom, but Kyle only really could say a couple of words, and did not really understand or even remember what it was that his parents were bickering about. Then one day; the last he saw of his father for a year was him giving him a pat on the shoulder and promising him that he would write.
Maybe it was only because he did not live with him but as Kyle grew up; he tended to idolise his father a lot more than his mother. He only saw him every now and then, when he visited him and his little sisters on Holidays, etc. Thomas would always tell Kyle how proud he was of him and what an amazing career he would have when he was older. Within those very short periods of time in which he actually saw his father; he felt he had bonded with him more than he had ever bonded with his mother; in fact, he could go as far as saying he loved his father about two times the amount he loved his mother. He did love his mother, obviously, and he appreciated everything she had ever done for him; but even she noticed that their relationship wasn’t as brilliantly formed as the relationship between him and his father. Jasmine kept trying to get closer to Kyle; but all that resulted in was him pushing her further away – it even sometimes resulted in him having his little ‘temper tantrums’, in which his mother would scream at him “You are exactly like your father!”. Because she did not really want that to happen again, since her and Kyle still wanted to have a normal mother-son relationship, she did not try connecting to him as much as he grew older. Nevertheless, Kyle still loved his mother, perhaps in a different way to how Sammy did.
However, the person who Kyle was tighter with than anybody ever imagined was his twin sister, Sammy. Although they were very different; one was disorganised and the other a complete organisation robot, one was loving and brilliantly open and the other was fussy and rather boring. But the two balanced each other out, and always kept an eye out for each other. Before each of them received their letters inviting them to join a magic school, the two went to a state school with a very bad reputation. They made no friends, and they did not really want to either; they like their personal bubble being only shared between themselves.
As expected, Kyle and Sammy’s mother was not as pleased as the twins were when they received the letter of acceptance into a small magic school that had first opened in America. But the odd thing was, even though she was a muggle, she did not look as surprised as Kyle had expected; though, he brushed any doubt he had at the back of his mind away and went there anyway. When Kyle was thirteen, they moved to Gatwick for a reason of which his mother (not matter how many times Sammy and Kyle nagged) would refuse to tell them. There they received a letter of acceptance to Hogwarts, Kyle, having read about it a lot; was overjoyed – after all, he was accepted into the greatest magic school in the world!
The first few months at Hogwarts were not very different from his years at he state school he attended; until Sammy and Kyle made a pact to be – a little – more open. Kyle made very few friends, and became recognized in his strong classes such as HOM, and for his odd temper outbursts when anybody eyeballs his twin sister. Despite sometimes causing quite a stir in school, he passed his OWLs with very good grades, and his NEWTS also – afterwards he moved back to California for four years, where there were a few familial issues he had to straighten out, and where he had lost contact with most of his friends. Although he did have a career path in mind, he chose not to follow it as he needed to be there to financially support his siblings. The Henley siblings only returned to England a few months ago with news that there was a war that was about to happen.

ROLEPLAY SAMPLE:
Today, Kyle was bored. Very very bored. He knew he was going to be bored, he was not into Hogsmeade trips very much. So after making himself look as muggly (if there was such a word – but knowing Kyle, he would have made it a word if he really wanted to) as possible, Kyle walked into the flower shop, putting on the most dazed and confused expression that he could and staring around the shop, pretending to look fascinated at all of the different flowers in the store.
"W-wait.. Wasn't I in Hyde park a few moments ago?", said Kyle to himself, trying his hardest to sound lost and confused, also pulling off the most posh accent he could. He wasn't doing very well though, his northern twang kept appearing in places.
Yes. Kyle Finnigan was pretending to be a muggle. Why? Well, that question was answered a few moments ago. He was bored. The accent, the clashing muggle clothing, all to cover himself up. It wasn't really out of caution, as he had never been in the flower shop before so the workers wouldn't recognize him; but he liked having an excuse to go dress rehearsal.
"But I must say.. This is quite an extraordinary collection of plants you have here", he stated good-naturedly to the worker, trying hard to keep his accent intact. The short boy walked around the store in circles, often stopping near to a plant and 'Ohhh!'-ing at it and touching it with his index finger, pretending to be amazed by the very sight of them.
A plumpish woman at the counter was looking at him, her eyes wide and her expression no less than flabbergastered. What was a muggle doing in Hogsmeade? How did he get there? Knocking over half the things at the counter, she screamed because Kyle was now advancing towards a Omtimplo Ruidasin, a very dangerous plant which appeared to look innocent enough…
Kyle, ignoring the woman's scream, was pretending to reach for the plant when it suddenly started spitting a green, acidy substance at him.
"Uh oh..", he muttered as he ducked, swiftly taking out his wand from the back pocket of his jeans and using a shielding spell to block the next firing of the acidic substance.
"You're a WIZARD?", the worker roared at Kyle as she got up to her feet and took out her own wand.
Kyle, on the other hand, had started firing random hexes at the plant, which had no effect on it because he kept missing, knocking other plants of their shelves, causing more commotion than necessary, but that was because he was blabbing away, no actually looking at what or where he was firing.
"No..", replied Kyle at the woman sarcastically, "I just happen to appear in hogsmeade holding a wooden stick and firing random beams of light at a pretty plant so it can thrive"
Ignoring the fifth year, the woman fired a freezing spell on the plant, stopping it from causing any more damage.
"Clean up your mess and get out of my shop!", she screamed at Kyle as she started returning to the counter, before Kyle could open his mouth she added, "And don't you dare say another word!"
Kyle's dark eyes looked around the shop at the mess that had just been made, he honestly didn't mean for all of that to happen… He was a fast talker, but no trouble maker…
This didn't stop him from talking, or muttering whilst he was cleaning up the chaos.
"It was your fault you know, you should have stopped me from going in if you thought I was a muggle, and you shouldn't have such a dangerous plant out on display without even a barrier to protect you flipping customners, and furthermore…"
And nor did he stop, he didn't really care if he was wrong, it was supposed to be a harmless little joke, anyway.
ANYTHING ELSE?: bleugh.
